Currently, I serve as a mathematics instructor at Seminary High School, recently returning to my hometown high school twenty years after graduating there.
Previously, I served as a Mathematics Teacher and Esports Coach at Magee High School, where I’ve played a pivotal role in a school turnaround program that significantly improved our accountability rating from an F to a B in just two years. My approach focused on innovative strategies that promote student engagement and success, exemplified by my efforts in leading our math department to achieve A-ranked results in Algebra 1. Additionally, I founded the district's first varsity Esports program, emphasizing diversity and teamwork while leading students to playoffs in our inaugural season.
Previously, I taught at Forrest County Agricultural High School, where I developed engaging, research-based curricula in subjects such as English, Geometry, and Geography. My early career at Covington County School District involved creating tailored course plans for at-risk students and implementing behavior management systems that enhanced student engagement.
